A professionally written, hardcover report with a narrative of significant aspects of the family's history. It includes detailed family trees and genealogical charts, and copies or extracts of relevant records. It also provides historical and geographical context, with maps and images when relevant and available, and complete source citations.

A Note on Source Materials
Our research draws upon digitized civil, ecclesiastical, census, immigration, military, judicial, notarial, and other historical records. These records are held by repositories in Italy and the United States. Genealogical research necessarily depends upon the records that were created, preserved, and made accessible. Some records may be incomplete, inaccurate, restricted, damaged, lost, or unavailable online. We pursue all productive research paths reasonably available within
the project, clearly identify evidentiary limitations, and distinguish documented conclusions from informed possibilities. Our standard service is based on research that can be conducted remotely. Research requiring visits to physical archives or other repositories may be considered separately when appropriate. It will never be undertaken without the client’s prior written consent.

DualCitizenship
Italy allows certain individuals born abroad to apply for Italian citizenship by descent (iure sanguinis). Law 74/2025 significantly narrowed eligibility: for most new applications, the applicant must have a parent or grandparent who held only Italian citizenship, or a parent who, after becoming an Italian citizen, lived in Italy for at least two consecutive years before the applicant’s birth. Because these rules are complex and still being tested in court, eligibility should be assessed by a qualified legal professional.
Most families tend to lack the information and documentation required to prove uninterrupted citizenship transmission. We can assist you with researching your family history to trace your lineal descent back to your last Italian-born ancestor. We can also document each generation’s citizenship status. If you may be eligible for dual citizenship, we will provide the records your legal counsel will need. Your counsel will use them to assess your case and begin the official process.

We are not the best fit if…
You already have detailed information on your ancestors and your project does not require research activities. For example, you may already know names, birth dates, and birth places and only want copies of official records. We can certainly retrieve them on your behalf. However, you may request copies directly from the issuing agencies at a fraction of the cost.
